Centre Elite Gymnastics

Heather started doing gymnastics at 4 years old and was a competitive gymnast for 15 years. As a level 10 gymnast Heather was both a Regional and National competitor. She was a USAG Level 10 Regional Vault Champion while competing at Nittany Gymnastics in State College before joining the Penn State Women’s Gymnastics team as a vault specialist.

After receiving her degree from Penn State, Heather worked at one employer in the Convenience Store Industry for 12 years. During her tenure she worked in Information Technology, Marketing, Sales and Merchandising.

Heather is the Business Programs Manager and the Group Fitness Manager at Centre Elite. She holds Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor Certifications in both Les Mills CORE and BODYCOMBAT and teaches a number of group fitness classes to our members each week. She is a USA Gymnastics Certified Meet Director and is the Meet Director and Meet Coordinator for the annual Centre Elite Classic. In 2020 Heather joined the PAUSAG Gymnastics State Committee where she is currently the Assistant State Chairperson and Treasurer.

Heather and her husband Paul live in Petersburg, PA with their dog Winslow.

My name is Stephanie Simpson. I hold a BS degree in Elementary Education (Pre-K through 8th grade) and have over 35 years of experience in teaching and coaching. My background includes coaching softball, basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics, as well as teaching various grade levels in Oklahoma, Georgia, Turkey, and Pennsylvania.

Beyond my professional background, I am a mother of six children who have balanced high-performance athletics with academic success in sports such as football, wrestling, soccer, track, and gymnastics. I am a strong advocate for youth sports, particularly gymnastics, for the essential life skills it instills. My older children include a farmer in Oklahoma, a graduate from and 2 current students at PSU -one the captain of the PSU men's gymnastics team, while my two youngest are competitive gymnasts in high school.

For the past 13 years, I have taught in the preschool program at Centre Elite Gymnastics (CEG). I currently run the KinderGym program and camps and help with the recreational program, where my responsibilities include writing lesson plans, planning activities, and organizing both day and summer camps. Additionally, I am highly involved in our front office operations and parent communications.
