Melanie Haig

Melanie Haig

Melanie Haig is a junior at Penn State majoring in Kinesiology with a focus on Health and Physical Education in elementary schools.
She is originally from New Jersey and some of her favorite things include CrossFit, Disney, and her dogs.

Kelsey Chandler

Kelsey Chandler

Kelsey Chandler is a junior at State College Area High School where she cheers on the varsity cheerleading squad. She lived in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and moved to State College when she was in fourth grade. Kelsey came to CEG to help increase her tumbling abilities and loved it so much that she decided to join us this summer to help others flourish their abilities.

Kelsey loves babysitting and working with children. After high school, she plans on going to college to become an elementary teacher for children with special needs.

Kileigh Kane

Kileigh Kane

Kileigh Kane is a sophomore in high school who attends both State College Area High School and the Delta Program. At State High, she partakes in multiple activities such as women's cross country and track and field. She is a triple jumper for State High that competes in the Fall and Spring. 

Kileigh started doing gymnastics at the age of 6 and began training with Tracy at the age of 9. Kileigh competed in both the Junior Olympic program and Prep Op. Although she no longer trains, she will always have a strong passion for the sport. She loves to work with younger kids in the gym and watch them develop a love for the sport.

When Kileigh graduates she wishes to attend college and go on to become a graphic designer. 

Kateryna Yakushina

Kateryna Yakushina

Kateryna Yakushina started doing gymnastics at the age of 3 and spent 10 years competing as an all-around gymnast in the former USSR. After her gymnastics career she joined the Circus taking her gymnastics skills to a new level . She became an aerial gymnast, performing and traveling for another 3 years before settling down. 

 

Kateryna enjoys coaching gymnastics as well as competing herself. She recently qualified for the Boston Marathon, competed in several triathlons and is currently training for her very first Ironman. 

 

Kateryna joined CEG in the spring of 2015, coaching recreational and advanced recreational classes. She loves passing her knowledge, passion, and love for gymnastics to young athletes. She lives in State College with her 3 children.

Cassie Baker

Cassie Baker

Cassie Baker has been working at Centre Elite for a year and a half now and is a junior at State High. Cassie has been doing competitive cheerleading at Superstar Athletics for 11 years now.

She teaches all recreational class levels and loves it. Working with kids has always been something she has loved to do and loves the feeling of seeing a kid succeed because of her help.

Leah Homan

Leah Homan

Leah Homan was originally adopted from Guatemala. She is 20 years old and currently a Junior at Penn State University studying Criminology. She has been a Recreational class for almost 3 years now. She decided to start teaching gymnastics after stopped competitive gymnastics. She absolutely loves her job, and can’t wait to help your child(ren) learn and grow.

Britney Peachey

Britney Peachey

Britney Peachey is currently a junior at State College Area High School where she recently has been inducted into the National Honor Society. She began competitive cheerleading at the age of 5 and continued for 11 years, competing at the 2014 and 2015 World Championships in Orlando, Florida. She has received her black belt in Youth Martial Arts and enjoys participating in track and field. She was a silver medalist in the 2014 Hershey’s Track & Field Nationals in the standing long jump.

Britney enjoys playing with her dogs, going to the beach, and attending Penn State football games. Upon high school graduation, Britney plans to attend college in hopes of being accepted in to medical school in order to pursue a career in the medical field.

Sydney Callenberger

Sydney Callenberger

Sydney is 15 years olds and was 6 when she started tumbling classes. She has been doing competitive cheerleading since she was 7. She loves babysitting and being able to teach kids. Sydney loves living in State College and when she's not relaxing with friends and family you can catch her cheering for her Nittany Lions!
 

Makenna Bailey

Makenna Bailey

MaKenna Bailey is a junior at State College Area High School. She is currently on the varsity and Superstar Athletics Open level 5 cheerleading team in Pleasant Gap.

She enjoys attending Penn State Football games and babysitting her nieces and nephews.

Catelin Longenecker

Catelin Longenecker

Catelin grew up in the gym - starting gymnastics at the age of 2 and competing for 10 years through her senior year of high school.  She became interested in teaching gymnastics while in high school and after training to teach gymnastics, became a pre-team coach in the summer of 2015.  

Catelin is currently a freshman at Penn State, majoring in Elementary Education. Catelin, the oldest of 4 siblings, has a natural ease with pre-school and elementary age children and enjoys sharing her gymnastics experience with her pre-teamers.

Catelin is also an award winning artist and a very active CrossFit athlete.

Matt Manino

Matt Manino

Matt started recreational gymnastics at the age 3. He began competitive gymnastics at the age of 6 and has competed at JO Nationals for multiple years. He continued to do gymnastics in college where he studies microbiology at Penn State. He trains and competes for the men’s club gymnastics team. Matt coaches the boys class along with the team program.

In his free time he enjoys watching movies and playing video games

 

Jaret Beyer

Jaret Beyer

Jaret Beyer is a level 10 gymnast and a junior at State College Area High School. He is a 4-time Jr. Olympic national competitor and most recently a regional champion on the floor exercise, vault, and high bar. He teaches novice athletes at Centre Elite. Jaret is an exceptional student that has recieved Academic All-American honors twice. 

During his free time he enjoys spending time outdoors and participating in different sports.

Nate Warren

Nate Warren

Nate is a level ten, and sophomore at Penns Valley High School. He is a Junior Olympic Nationals qualifier, and a regional silver medalist on parallel bars. He also coaches level one and two gymnasts.
